樟樹產業是過去獅潭發展的核心，這之間發生太多的血汗歷史，面對不可逆的過去，我們期許愛與共生走向獅潭的未來，願樟樹及先人之靈得到安詳。
以真實的樟樹幹去翻模鑄造成作品的下半部，像是立碑的心情，悼念過去樟樹群為人類的犠牲，也像是不可抹滅的歷史記憶，支撐著獅潭的未來。上半部則以像祈福、像飛翔的翅膀，象徵期待大家一起在樟樹歷史的立基點上，昇華獅潭走向生態和諧、美好的未來。
老吊橋是遊客來訪的動線入口，視線先看到樟樹圈那件作品，再穿越樟樹圈走到樟之昇華，象徵從現在(吊橋)面對過去(樟樹圈)走向未來(樟之昇華)，串連過去歷史記憶與現在時空的樟之細路。希望引導遊客以時空軸線的思考、體會獅潭小鎮具體而微對美好生活的期待
Camphor industry used to be the main industry in Shitan. The efforts from early settlers and remarkable development have contributed to a great success of this industry.
In memory of the glory of this industry, we used branches from camphor trees to make the bottom half of this work to remind people the significance of camphor industry both in the past and in the future. The flying wings on the upper half of this work symbolize the foundation of the camphor industry and wish to create a harmonious environment in Shitan in the future.
The old suspension bridge is the entrance for tourists to access this area. They will see the Loops of Camphor Branches before reaching this piece of work. The suspension bridge represents the current status which connects the past (Loops of Camphor Branches) and the future (Sublimation of Camphor). This camphor route takes people through different times. The design of this area wishes to have tourists think and experience the vigor of Shitan and expectations for the future.
